Maria Ellul
At the age of 10, Maria Ellul started learning the violin and kept on doing so for five consecutive years. Even though she loved playing the violin she always thought that singing was the best thing she’s at.
From a young age, during her school concerts she always got small solos to accompany the rest of her classmates, which flourished into new opportunities later in her life.
Her first singing experiences started off from her local Parish Church Choir in Żejtun, which was directed by Joe Caruana (Organist), in which she used to sing as a First Soprano. Once more, she used to be assigned solos, especially during Christmas Concerts.
As she grew older, she was offered more opportunities, and thus she started freelancing as a Soprano and Pop Singer. Some events in which she is always invited to, are the Halloween and Christmas Parties at the Playmobil Funpark, Malta and the 12th Birzebbuġa Girl Guides Annual Concert.
Recently, she used to form part of an all ladies Choir called Vox Dulcis Chorale, which is directed by John Anthony Fsadni.
The year 2019 started out on a very positive note for Maria Ellul, as she dropped her first single "Let It Fly", in collaboration with Funky Monkey and Katia Abela. This was Maria's first original single, in which she hopes it paves the way for her career. The response she is getting since the single has been released is overwhelming.
Later on during the same year, Maria applied for X Factor Malta Season 2. The experience was a very fruitful one, and she hopes that this opportunity would show the public how much music really means to her.
