Lynn Chircop Faure

Lynn Chircop (born 1980, in Santa Venera, Malta) is well-known in Malta as a pianist and singer. She has also modelled on several occasions, acted in the soap opera ‘Ipokriti’. and she was the co-presenter and co-producer for the popular youth-oriented programme ‘Klabbzone’ on TVM. She was the lead singer of the rock band ‘Blend 7' and performs with various other established musicians.
Lynn started singing and playing the piano at a very young age. When she was four she took part in the song contest ‘Mini Kanta’ and she won that festival a year later with the song We Are The World. Soon she started studying classical music with Mrs. Michelle Sant LRSM and eventually continued her studies in a Music Academy in Leipzig, Germany. Now she performs classical music with various renowned musicians, on various occasions, as a trio or quartet.
More than a a musician, Lynn has specialised in Tourism Studies. She speaks fluent German, Italian, French and English, and she has also studied Spanish. She has also obtained the IATA /UFTAA (International Air Transport Association /Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association) License and apart from being a qualified Music teacher, she is also licensed to teach English to foreign students in Malta.
Lynn was a resident pianist at the ‘Victoria Hotel’, in Sliema, and the resident singer and pianist at the ‘Maestro al fresco’ in Valletta. On the 13th,14th,15th of December 2002, Lynn gave a solo performance in the fifth edition of the ‘Teatru Unplugged’, which was held at the Manoel Theatre. Lynn interpreted various popular music pieces which reflected her music versatility. On this occasion, too, Lynn launched her own composition The Final Act, with words by Keith Marshall.
In February 2003, Lynn participated in the Malta Song for Europe Festival and emerged as the winner, with the song To Dream Again making her Malta representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, Latvia, on 24 May 2003.
In the sam year she Married Antoine Faure, pianist and member of the legendary rock band 'The Characters'. She became a mother in 2004 to a daughter, Lizzie Anne Faure, who studied music at the Malta Music School till she reached her Diploma in Piano Performance with Distinction.
Lynn Chircop Faure is an Advocate specialising in Human Rights and International Law. She obtained two Master’s Degrees in Human Rights Law & Practice and in Diplomatic Studies, a Doctorate Degree in Laws, a Post Graduate Diploma in Notarial Practice, and a Bachelor’s (Hons) Degree in Law and European Studies from the University of Malta.
Lynn is a recognised Human Rights Trainer by the Council of Europe. She is qualified in Project Management and a Practitioner in EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). As a devoted public officer since 2005, she completed the Public Management Toolkit and actively maintains her professional development while holding a position of Senior Manager with the Human Rights Directorate.
Lynn is also a licensed Tour Guide & Travel Agent and an Associate with the Trinity College of London in Music Performance and qualified Pianist with the Royal Schools of Music. She spent her early years teaching Music, German and English as a Foreign Language. She produced and presented educational and discussion programmes on national and private television and radio stations. She represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest held in Latvia in 2003.
Dr Lynn was responsible for the Malta Central Authority on Civil Aspects of Child Abduction cases and International Maintenance Obligations, Cross-border litigation on Access and Custody Rights, served as Head of Legal & Licensing Office at the Social Care Standards Authority and Scholarship Manager of the Malta Arts and Sports Scholarships within the Directorate for Lifelong Learning, Ministry for Education & Employment.
She has been defending the Rights of Children and carried out two dissertations on the Protection and Enforcement of Children’s Rights in Malta and the application of the Principle of the Best Interests of the Child and Principle of Equality in Child Related Matters. As an Advocate, Dr. Lynn is committed to Defending the Rights of the Vulnerable.
